Kyle Muhlsteff
13U Coach
Kyle is a 2005 graduate of Esperanza HS in Anaheim, CA where he was an All-Sunset League selection as well as the 2005 National Classic Tournament MVP. After playing junior college baseball, he earned a scholarship to play at Valparaiso University in 2008. During his 2 years at Valparaiso, he started 105 games at shortstop, second base, and third base. He was voted a team captain as a senior where he broke the university's single season doubles record with 23. In other single season categories, Kyle sits 2nd in at-bats (245), 2nd in runs (59), and 3rd in hits (83). In 2011, Kyle signed a professional contract and played for Na Koa Ikaika Maui in the Northern American League. Muhlstaff coached travel baseball in Southern California from 2014-2017 and was named the 2016 SO Cal FCA Baseball Coach of the Year. In addition, he was a high school varsity baseball coach from 2017-2022 where he earned Coach of the Year honors in 2018 for his alma mater Esperanza HS in Anaheim, CA, and in 2022 for Green Hill HS in Mt. Juliet.
